The Bakers’ Association of Bologna proudly presents “The Bread Oscars – Stories, Hands, and Time,“ taking place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the Sydney Hotel. This celebratory event is dedicated to our member bakers, sfogline (traditional pasta makers), pastry chefs, and their families, envisioned to honor the region’s artisanal heritage and strengthen the bond within Bologna’s professional community.

The day seamlessly blends institutional highlights, convivial moments, and entertainment. Rather than focusing on competition, the awards will celebrate the core values that make this craft unique: tradition, manual mastery, innovation, generational succession, and daily dedication. Through video testimonials, personal stories, and emotionally engaging content, the event shines a spotlight directly on the people and the journeys behind the bread.

The program includes a warm welcome for guests, the official presentation of the Association and its brand-new website, screenings of the nomination videos, live voting, a community lunch, and the grand finale: The Bread Oscars ceremony, featuring awards dedicated to the diverse souls of the artisanal sector.
