The Emilia-Romagna Region has launched a new grant funded by the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) 2021-2027 Program, aimed at supporting investments in local retail shops and food and beverage establishments. The initiative is designed to encourage business upgrades, space revitalization, and the adoption of digital and technological innovations to better meet changing market and consumer demands.
Eligible beneficiaries include micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in brick-and-mortar retail and public food and beverage service. This dual category directly applies to many baking businesses, encompassing both traditional retail bakeries and those that expand their operations to offer on-premise food consumption.
The funding is awarded as a non-repayable grant covering up to 40% of eligible expenses, with a maximum amount of €50,000 per business.
Applications can be submitted via the Sfinge 2020 platform from 10:00 AM on June 23, 2026, until 1:00 PM on July 21, 2026. Applicants will be able to start drafting their submissions as early as June 18, 2026. It is crucial to note that the application window may close early once a cap of 350 submitted applications is reached.
We strongly encourage interested businesses to promptly evaluate this opportunity and prepare the necessary documentation to apply.
